New England Disabled Sports is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides adaptive sports instruction for students of all ages and abilities. NEDS fundraises all year to provide 500 students with opportunities to participate in adaptive sports. This organization is headquartered at Loon Mountain, a short distance from the RiverWalk Resort.

RiverWalk Resort and New England Disabled Sports collaborated to create the "Skate with the Bruins" fundraiser to raise money for snow sports instruction. The event was hosted on RiverWalk's ice rink where guests skated with the Bruins alumni, participated in a silent auction, ate Italian cuisine courtesy of La Vista, and got the chance to have their picture taken. All of the profit from this event went to funding NEDS efforts.
